over 1 year agoI support the general idea of having a joint ticketing system. However, we should certainly not reinvent the wheel. Instead, the FoFed can decide to host an open source Pretix system on a rented server and allow local organizers to have their individual accounts. I am sure this would be much more sustainable and cost-effective than to produce and maintain a new system from the ground up.

over 1 year ago@Roman P. Hi Roman, this proposal is not to build a ticketing system from the ground up, but to use an open sourced ticketing system available on license. It is fully built, but would require paying a license fee and since it is open sourced there will be bugs and minor changes based upon organiser requirements. There is a developer on standby to do this if the community finds it to be a worthwhile expense. A small festival can save hundreds of euros in fees compared to paid ticketing systems, and a large festival can save thousands of euro. So in practice if 3-5 small festivals or one large festival requested this it would break even already in terms of development cost.

over 1 year agoI already use this ticketing system and it's amazing, saved me at least the budget to cover other costs such as teacher's accommodation, as the fee was paid before and hard to use a proffesional ticketing system.

over 1 year agoI think it will be beneficial for communities that are starting. I'd suggest adding a booking tool system for classes attendance too. They are quite expensive and the free option I found is quite limited and still takes me a lot of time.

over 1 year agoI love the suggestion and am putting the Munique Dança vote on this system. We have a custom trailered solution just like this, for which we paid a heap of money. Unlucky us, our once powerful system starts to get quite old and brings up considerable maintenance efforts. The suggested system includes very useful features which once were the reason for our custom system (categories workshop, regular classes, concert and festival. Easy list export. PayPal and bank transfer payment supported. Database entries for level, full pass vs party pass, lead and follow. Group email solution to filtered subgroups, e. g. People who didn't pay in time)
