That's a great idea! Teachers need workshops where they can continue developing their teaching skills and acquisition of knowledge to better teach their classes. Professional teachers mean better quality of classes, improving the students' dancing, which benefits us all!

I like the idea of training on financial topics, management and promotion! As organizer of a very small forró community (next to a full-time job) I find it very hard to keep the group alive, improving and growing, and I know of more struggling organizers who don't have the support of a registered association.

Great Idea! Perhaps we could think about a Portuguese course for non-native professionals. I think it's important to understand one of the primary expressions of the culture you're working with - language.

the last form of the forro conference we had imagined was kind of this, find a festival partner and host workshops for professionals there. We had started discussions with Forro de Colonia, there were very interested

Great idea! Especially if management and financial training are also included.

We will grow as a community when we all get more knowledge of what are we doing and where we want to be. Having workshops with those who can give us this missing point would be great.

Professionalization is always an important theme and can improve not only the classes but also the organization, inter-community communication, and event organization. I would like to know if the participants could vote for the experts before they are chosen/hired.

This is a very important contribution! Forró stakeholders are making experiences on their own, being confronted with similar challenges but need to overcome them alone. Exchange and standardization to facilitate processes would make lives so much easier and free more time and energy to develop communities (and dance ;) ). I especially think about organizing festivals and developing teaching standards, which can be improved and made easier for everyone if knowledge is shared!
